What’s the Smallest Cemetery in Darke County?

July 7, 2014 by DarkeRunner Leave a Comment

I found an itty-bitty cemetery tonight on my run near Ansonia – Kershner Cemetery. I’m not sure but I think there are only six graves. I’m not normally that interested in cemeteries, but I’ve been parking by a lot of them (I had NO idea when I started this project that there is a little cemetery about every two miles in any direction you go in Darke County). I don’t know if Kershner Cemetery is the smallest or not, but it doesn’t seem like they can get a whole lot smaller than this! If you know what the smallest one is, please let me know in the comments section below. That would probably need to exclude burials on private property maybe?

Dreadfully humid tonight, the paint lines on the road were slick from humidity. Yuck. I did see a groundhog with all the hair missing from it’s back. It was very odd looking. Sorry, I couldn’t get a good angle on it.

A groundhog looking at me!
